Sidebar Changing

Hello,

The sidebar is grabbed from the primary category of the post. If the primary category also has the sidebar set on default (if the settings was not changed) then simply adding another sidebar here: https://www.screencast.com/t/TQxFtqbN will affect all posts and categories.

So you have created a widget sidebar and you wish to use it for the posts. That shouldn’t be a problem. For each post you can select from your available sidebars

To control many posts at once, you can use the primary category
– https://forum.tagdiv.com/primary-category/
By setting a sidebar for the primary category, each post that has it as primary category will inherit the sidebar. If there is no primary category set, the first category alphabetically will be automatically set as primary. If the post has only one category this will be primary.

So there are sidebars in the widgets section, but they do not appear in the custom sidebar dropdown as shown. What if you create a new sidebar, does this one appear.

Maybe there is something special about your previous sidebars. Changing themes would require that you create new sidebars, chances are the ones from one theme will not work with another one.
