3rd Party Video-Player for Featured Videos

i am working with the Newspaper-Theme and i really love its.
Since we are building a video news platform i want to optimize the video solution.

I used in the passed the “Feature Videos” field to embed the video.
How can i change here the default player?

I am testing right now some players like FV, JW-Player and Brightcove. But for all solutions i need to add the shortcode inside the article field.

Is there an option to change the videoplayer setting in the code so that i can just add in the source in the featured video field?

Hello,

Sorry but we have not tested any plugin to replace the featured video implementation from our theme. We use a custom functionality to grab videos and set them as a featured video for posts so I doubt there can be a plugin that can tie into our code by default. You will most likely need a freelancer to help with the implementation.

thanks for the reply. where in the code i can adjust the videoplayer?

i have also another question, when i ad a video to featured video there will be automatically created an featured image. can i disable these fuction?

You can remove the featured image that the theme sets from the video, and set the one you want – http://prntscr.com/mn4nlm
The code for that is is the same file – http://prntscr.com/mn4o8k
