Search Position selected is "Hidden" does not affect mobile menu

In the Theme Panel, for Header, I selected Header Style 2. I have set the Search Position to “Hidden”. On desktop the search button is hidden, but on mobile menu the search is still present.

For now, I have hidden the search button on mobile via the Advanced CSS options.

Please provide a fix for this bug. It is not expected for the search button to appear on the mobile menu when it is explicitly set to hidden.

Thank you.

Hi,

Yes the search position from theme panel is apply only the header style that is set on desktop -> https://www.screencast.com/t/WZW3goap , but now in Newspaper v9.5 you have the liberty to create the header how you want -> https://tagdiv.com/whats-new-in-newspaper-theme-9-5-update/

Thank you!

Hi Calin,

Thank you for the information. This is a great feature. I will try it out.

Hi Calin,

Unfortunately, the navigation created by the Header manager does not have the option to Smart snap. I would prefer to use Smart snap than the sticky header. I will just continue to use the Advanced CSS workaround until either Smart snap becomes available or the setting to hide the search button is fixed.

Thank you.

Hi,

Please look again, because this option is there -> https://www.screencast.com/t/9vNqD4VNI5u -> https://www.screencast.com/t/gBJtVGUiRS

Thank you!
