Hello, I am trying to set a Big grid slide with a side bar, but it displays a message telling “big grid slide must be in a row”. I understand what it says but dont know why.
When you put the big grid slide in a row and window is resized, it adapts well to tablet/smartphone resolutions. So, whay it cant be in a 2/3 column? It would adapt well.

Hi,

The Big grid is for large space/width, and that is set a condition to be set on a row that have the fill width, and yes is resize, but in order to can resize it need to be on a full row.
You can try to use some normal blocks or flex blocks.

Thank you for your understanding!

Is there any particular reason to limit this great slider?
As it adapts well to different widths I cant understand why you have limited its use as it could perfectly adapt its size to a 2/3 column.
There is not any other flex block with slider which can show multiple elements.

Hi,

How I sad above, the Big grid need to be set to a full row in order to can be resize, if you try you’ll see that all gig grids nee a full row.

Thank you for your understanding!

Thank you for your help
I hardcoded this, cloned blocks biggridslide and biggrid2 and modified the code for not checking columns width before render.

For my surprise, big grid slide works perfectly in a 2/3 column.

Anyway it is bit frustrating when trying to have a conversation but the other side not. I have asked 2 times for a reason, but no answer found 🙁

Hi,

This was the developers decision to set the big grid on full row, here is some of the problems if is not on full row:
For example if the big grid is not set on full row the look on some device will be break like on iPad
2/3 layout

-> https://www.screencast.com/t/rm5rpJ4UPEw5
1/3 layout

Maybe on some layouts look good, but maybe not for all device.

Thank you for your understanding!

Thank you for your answer.
Since it is responsive and adapts well to all screen sizes, I asume that breaking in 2/3 and 1/3 layout is a css problem and could be fixed by TagDiv team? Do you have it in your to-do list?
Thanks

Hi,

Those are the developer decision, all I can do is to note it on our suggestion list.

Thank you!
