For every preview with video a new thumb nail is added to media library

I have a standard Newpaper9 installation with with current updates. When I create a post with video (e.g. in default) select video post, add the url, then every time I do a preview of the post another thumbnail image is created in the image library.

From the second preview and onwards I get the message “Updating failed” when I move the post trash I get the message “The response is not a valid JSON response”.

I have had both by plugin disabled and the issue persists.
How do I fix this?

Hi,

Please ensure that you are using the latest version of the theme and otherwise, update it because this bug has been fixed in the past.

Can I just install it again becasue it’s the lastest version.
Does it overwrite any setup?

Hi,

If you want to achieve better theme results, you need to update the theme to the latest version of it which is NP 9.6. Before making an update, you need to make a full backup to your database to avoid losing all of your data. If you have some custom modifications through the theme core files, all of these will be overwritten to the next update.
