Translations and dual lingual site

Hello, I have been using the theme in the last two weeks and it is awesome! It’s so easy to build and order your pages, I love it!
Currently my website is in Bulgarian and English. I am using Polylang plugin and it works fine in terms of content, I don’t have any problems with content, menus and category translation, but can’t translate some theme strings like footer titles, next article strings etc. I know that you recommend WMPL plugin and that’s fine. I just wonder since I have added the Bulgarian translations in the theme panel, is there any way to switch between the two languages. I mean, event if I deactivate the current translation plugin, is there a way to switch between the two languages which I have strings translated for in the theme panel? Since the theme is advertised as multilingual I believe there is a way to switch between languages, probably I just don’t know how to do it, thanks!

Hi,

For footer you can create a page and set it as footer page, in this way the content from there will be translate.

Also is possible too need an additional plugin for translate
Polylang Theme Strings -> https://wordpress.org/plugins/polylang-theme-strings/
-> https://polylang.pro/doc/strings-translation/

Thank you for your understanding!

Hi Calin,

Thank you for your replay! I will definitely try to set a new page as footer so It can be translated.

About the strings, I already tried with the plugin which you mentioned above (Polylang Theme Strings) and all the strings are translated. But still when I switch to the other langue from the front end, I see the English version of the content, but theme elements which already have been translated in Polylang stay on Bulgarian. Whatever I do they don’t change. I am talking about related articles, see more articles and the comments section for example, they stay on the same language. Take a look to see what I am talking about: http://goandplay.eu/en/walters-arnaus-qatar-masters-2/ The option for switching languages is at the top right section of the header.

Any advices and help is highly appreciated, thanks!

Hi,

You can try to use some single post template from tagDiv Cloud Library , set for each language a template ( make a copy of one template and change only the text from comments, related … )

Hope this will help you!
Thanks.
