Is it possible to do a bulk change of templates for a series of posts? If there is a way to do this on the front end, that would be preferred. If not, where in the database can I make the change?
FYI: I don’t want to change the default template, I just want to change the template for a large number of posts.

The post template can be set per post, or for more posts at once but only if the setting in the posts is set to inherit from panel – http://prntscr.com/mv35o1
Other than these settings, the post template cannot be changed for specific posts in bulk.

In the post meta there is a mention of the post template each post uses, for example
– http://prntscr.com/mw7zz8 – http://prntscr.com/mw7zen – http://prntscr.com/mw7zq9

@printing3d If you would consider waiting a little more time, in coming updates (not sure if the next one or the one after that) there will be a setting for this in the theme panel, for each category.
With it you will be able to assign a specific post template (cloud template) per category, so all the posts from a category will use the set template.

Thank you for your reply. That will be great feature. I prefer to wait than. Will it also be possible for multilanguage sites to use it? like same category post with 2 language versions?

The multilanguage can be achieve using some translate plugins, we recommend WPML plugin -> https://wpml-org.appspot.com/wjo-apzma-ad1-as2 using such a plugin you can make different content for each post, page, category.. -> https://wordpress.org/plugins/weglot/ also you can user other plugins, we recommend this one because was tested with our theme.

Thanks for your reply. But my question wasn’t about the multilanguage plugins. We have been using WPML for Newspaper theme for more than 3 years now. 🙂
My question was, since we have 2 language version of a single post, the bulk change system will also be applicable for the secondary language posts.

Unfortunately for the moment we can not say for sure how this option it will work, only after the option will be integrate and will test it will know how it should work.
