Disqus finally works on cloud templates! Thanks!

after upgrading to the latest Newspaper theme version (9.6) Disqus comment block finally works on cloud templates! (Instead of the regular WP comment block if disqus plugin is installed on site).

You rock!

But you should consider disabling commenting on AMP pages that are in conflict with wpDiscuz

at the moment, I do not use AMP. seems like the format has many limitations and a lot of problems with various plugins.

It should be noted that this only works if you have Infinite Loading disabled. Only WordPress comments work with Cloud Templates with Infinite Loading currently.

well, I was too early to rejoice.
In fact disqus started to throw all kinds of javascript errors in the browser console and breaks some of the site’s functionality.
Apparently now there is a conflict between Newspaper theme and disqus plugin. At least on my sites 🙁

As I have read about this problem it seems it is now a genearal issue with disqus’s latest release and their javascripts at their side. Seems like it ruins other plugins’ js routines.

(I have two other sites I had to disable the disqus plugin, on the latest I have still valid tagdiv support as I bought it a few weeks ago.)
It seems to me their javascript destroy some of your routins (e.g. the ‘more article box’ and the lightbox coding).

I’m not able to figure out how to use Disqus and cloud templates at the same time.
Any help? I could only see the default WordPress comment system.
