in which of the two should the code come in? what difference do they have?

Hi,

Here is talking about the same AMP analytics code but please notice that two different section from where you can make this change. In your first image, you can see the old AMP implementation for Newspaper 9.5 and in the last image, the new AMP settings from the latest version of the theme. The difference is the version theme number.

Hi poporil,

If you are using the latest version of the theme, the AMP Analytics code sohuld have to be added here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/NmtEwTnKFw9 and if you are using an old theme version, the Analytics section is here -> https://imgur.com/x3EyT1t
There are not both.

Hi,

You can add codes in both sections. In the theme panel you can enter one code, in the AMP analytics you can add multiple codes if you use more vendors
