Can't activate

Hi there.

I just bought the theme and installed it. Now I also installed the plug-ins (from that pop-up). And when I try to activate it, at the last box I need to get a key from http://kb.wpbakery.com/index.php?title=Item_Verification_Code
On this page I get:

Sorry! This site is experiencing technical difficulties.

Try waiting a few minutes and reloading.

(Can’t contact the database server: Can’t connect to local MySQL server through socket ‘/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock’ (111) (localhost))

And this for the past minutes, so any other way to get this key?

You don’t need a key for Visual Composer; it’s a “bundled version” with the theme.
I found it’s actually best to manually upload it to the /wp-content/plugins/ folder.

You do need to fully remove any old version of Visual Composer before installing the version which is included with the theme. I had to do that, as I got a 500 server error when I didn’t do that correctly.

As Christopher said you don’t need to activate it just use this guide and delete the WPBakery Visual Composer plugin then install it like this: https://forum.tagdiv.com/how-to-update-visual-composer-plugin-wpbakery/
