Issue with Homepage also showing on other pages? SOLVED! (see solution)

I’m not sure what’s wrong with my site, however my homepage, when you click on an article, will take you to said article, and then it shows you the entire homepage below the article. (I don’t want that).

I already have WordPress set to homepage being a static page.

I’m running Newspaper 9.5

WordPress 5.1.1

I didn’t do a single thing and one day I just noticed it change on me.

In February 2019, it wasn’t like this, now it is.

Answered my own question.

It looks like when I was attempting to update my own footer, i incorrectly set my footer as the homepage and it had ugly consequences. I didn’t intend to do that.

Setting it back to -No Page- effectively removed my HomePage from acting as a footer to every webpage.
