I am very new and kind of moronic when it comes to setting up a website. Right now my home page shows each whole blog and not a small excerpt. How do I fix that?

I think that your homepage displays your latest posts as you can see here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/ywPsM1qW1G1K and if you want to change the modules for this page, you need to go and change from here -> https://www.screencast.com/t/W0rAnlqCU If you will choose the second option, you will can create your own custom page, using the TD Composer as page builder.
