I am using Sassy Social Share Plugin for blog posts since the default theme plugin has less sharing options. The plugin works fine on simple mobile version & desktop version of my site but for some reason it doesn’t work on AMP version of my blog posts. Now, when I deactivate mobile theme plugin, sassy social share plugin works fine.
Issue:
The social buttons are supposed to be at the bottom of the page but for some reason they are invisible/hidden but available as can see in the links below. I have enabled all AMP settings of this plugin that were required for it to work but the share buttons just won’t show.
AMP Link: https://www.wentdiary.com/top-17-things-to-do-in-oklahoma-city/?amp
Simple Link: https://www.wentdiary.com/top-17-things-to-do-in-oklahoma-city/
Note:
Social buttons are available but hidden. When the tagDiv mobile theme plugin is deactivated, social buttons start to show!
I am pretty sure this issue has something to do with the tagDiv Mobile Theme plugin because I have used other social share plugins too but the problem still persists.
Please resolve.
Hi,
I have checked that section on aMP and your social sharing are off, sorry! Please notice that plugin has not been tested with our theme and therefore we cannot say for sure if it will work or not as expected with our theme, sorry! Unfortunately, it seems to cause some conflicts and that’s why on AMP, these icons are unavailable, sorry! If you will use only our tested plugins, you will bring good theme results. For example, use the Social Counter and check how it works. Please notice that we cannot provide support and integration for untested plugins.
Thank you!
But there has to be some sort of solution. I am having this issue with every social share plugin on AMP pages with tagdiv mobile theme plugin activated. But they work fine when I disable tagDiv Mobile Theme plugin. There has to be some sort of code or solution to this problem. I’m having this issue on AMP pages only.
One of my team members contacted with Plugin developer too. They said there is no issue with the plugin and it is perfectly compatible with AMP pages. Which is. I have tested it myself by deactivating tagDiv Mobile Theme Plugin. Please see the discussion link that my partner did with the developer. https://wordpress.org/support/topic/social-buttons-invisible-on-amp-pages/
I would really appropriate if you could provide me with some sort of code or solution that would resolve this issue.

Hi,
I have checked your post page again and I saw that your Social Sharing comes from another plugin that our Social Counter, sorry! -> https://www.screencast.com/t/Nr2htKeV If you will turn off this plugin and enable the Social sharing functionality to your post, on AMP should works as expected. Please notice that we cannot provide support for untested plugins and also, we cannot say for sure if it will work or not as expected with our theme, sorry!
Thank you for your understanding!
Hi,
The theme sharing will appear on AMP, but only if you also use the mobile theme plugin together with AMP – https://tagdiv.com/amp-newspaper-theme/
If you use just the AMP plugin you could do something like this for example
– https://isabelcastillo.com/social-media-sharing-wordpress-amp-accelerated-mobile
Or find sharing plugins that are AMP compatible, there are plugins that have this feature.
Thanks
I have checked your website, I see that the theme sharing is not enabled. Please enable the sharing like this – https://forum.tagdiv.com/sharing/
Then the theme sharing buttons will appear on AMP.
There is a Facebook share option in the theme sharing, but not a messenger/copy URL option or button – http://prntscr.com/n7ssn8
It is a simple button through which the website visitor can share the post in Facebook, nothing else.
Hi,
You can change the share text in Newspaper>Theme panel>Translations>Translations -> https://www.screencast.com/t/v5vkdtewU
Thank!
Hi,
If you are using the mobile theme then the share text for social sharing is not longer present, because the space/width is to small on mobile -> https://www.screencast.com/t/i9xS73qc.
Thank you!
