How do I enable sidebars on posts?

This forum is baffling: if I search for a subject I get – rather than a list of relevant topics – what appears to be an unorganised mish-mash of questions and responses that bear little relevance to the subject I searched for. I’d rather scan and choose from a list of subjects, like most forums, than read page after page of irrelevant posts all jammed into what looks like one post. I can’t imagine who feels helped by this presentation. </rant>

At any rate:

I have installed the Newspaper theme, with its demo content, alongside my own content. It seems to be working, except that I cannot seem to get sidebars to show on single posts (they were not visible by default). I’ve selected the default site post template under post settings, my posts are set to use the post template set in the panel, auto-select category, default sidebar position, and default sidebar.

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks,

E.

Disregard. I disabled some unnecessary plugins, and found that one of them had been suppressing the sidebars.

However, if you can tell me how to search this forum efficiently, I’d still welcome that.

Hello,

The forum has a search option which can be used to search for related topics.
There is no right or wrong way to search for topics. Just search for keywords such as sidebars or sidebar problem etc. (quick tip) When finding topic the forum will bold out the keywords found in that url and the url will not be clickable. You have to copy and paste it in your browser
For example: search for header: https://forum.tagdiv.com/search/header/
As you can see in the url;s found, the word header is bold so if you attempt to click the url directly you get this: https://www.screencast.com/t/nEBSAcrHWK7v
The bold html tags stick so either remove the < b > tags or simply copy the url in another tab

Thanks
