Sort Order by date custom field

Hi,

I need to order the posts according to a custom type field value (date), is there a way to achieve this and then displaying the posts using a Newspaper module? I mean doing this by changing things in the child theme files only. If not do you have advice for the best solution?

Hi,

The blocks sort order options are defined in the following files – http://screencast.com/t/MxfNJv6i – http://screencast.com/t/2y8wF6CQPtp4 , you have to add a new condition (sort order parameter).
Individual modules are only used on Homepage – with article list template, similar articles and on category, tag … etc pages.

Hi Emil,

Thanks for your answer. It helps me a lot even if I was looking for a child theme solution, but I have followed your advice for sorting custom post and it works nicely.
