I’m trying to get the ads to display properly on desktop, tablet and phone, but it’s not working like it seems it should.
Currently I have the following setup for the Home Page:
Two ad boxes in one row. One for custom_ad_1 and one for custom_ad_2.
custom_ad_1 has my desktop sized ad code in it and is set to be disabled on tablet portrait and phone.
custom_ad_2 has my mobile sized ad code in it and is set to be disabled on desktop and tablet landscape.
However, both ads are being shown on my desktop and my phone. When I add the code “<div class=”td-visible-phone”></div>” into the code for custom_ad_2, it does disable it on desktop, but both ads still show on my phone. Now I suppose I can use something like “<div class=”td-visible-desktop”></div>” for custom_ad_1, but this just seems like more of a band-aid solution.
Why aren’t the built-in settings not working for me?
I have removed the ad block for custom_ad_2 for now since the desktop ad resizes itself somewhat decently most of the time. But I’d like to be able to get this feature to work properly.

What type of ad code you use as the theme only works with adsense and image banners if using other than these two types of ads could case issues. I have tested this and found no issues with the ads settings, so when set like this: http://screencast.com/t/AFWD1xy4C the ad will be visible only on desktop screens.
Hope this helps. Please also make sure you also check this without plugins active so that we can exclude the fact that any of your plugins causes issues with this.
