Registration custom fields

Hi,
I would like to add more custom fields to registration field in front end. and Also want to Show default fields in frontend. So that Reporters can sign up and admin/editor approve their acc.

I’m aware of Advance custom field plugin (ACF), but not sure if it is a good fit or is there any other option?

So you mean in the sign-in/join modal window? – http://prntscr.com/no949o This theme modal uses the functionality from the WordPress admin sign-in/join screen, just ads some style to it.

If you want to add more fields in it you would have to edit the file responsible with the modal, the file is here – http://prntscr.com/no96ep
By a setting it is not possible to add more content in that location.
