Can you please recommend a security plugin / option that would work with the Newspaper theme (ideally that sends a confirmation code by email to get access to the WP dashboard)?
Some random people got access to the admin recently and I will have to reinstall the whole WP to ensure it’s safe and secure. It would be great to choose the optimal solution that would protect the website in the long run and worked well with the theme.

I think this issue is more related to the WordPress than Newspaper so I don’t think that a security plugin would affect the theme. Unfortunately we cannot recommend any since we haven’t tested them. You can try to see wich one fits the best just make sure you have a backup so you won’t be facing any other issues.

Yes, I do understand that it’s an issue of WordPress (rather than theme’s).
I checked the link you sent earlier – very useful info.
Just wondering what kind of security plugin people use with the theme without any serious compatibility issues (not necessarily 100% tested, etc.)
I found Wordfence and iThemes as an example…
I lost all the content as I haven’t done a proper back up so I want to be better prepared when I start from scratch this time with this beautiful Newspaper theme – best of its kind I am sure.
Would you be able to let me know what security plugin people are using (no expectations regarding testing, etc)?

From what i’ve seen our users work with Wordfencehttps://www.wordfence.com And it is a must to keep it set up on Learning mode for 2-3 weeks from what i’ve seen.
