I have pasted my google ad code into the “Header ad” section in the theme panel and no ads are displaying.

Sometimes it takes a few minutes for google ads to appear if the ad was recently created, or if you recently set up your google ads account for your site.
If these do not apply then let me know. I don’t work for the “newspaper theme” people, but I have had similar issues in the past which I had to figure out.
