Hey, so we prepared a blog and for it’s featured image we decided to go with a gif. Now this featured image is displayed at two places.
1. As the featured image of the blog in the list of all the blogs.
2. The starting of the blog when somebody clicks and open the blog, there is the title and then the image and then the blog.
But the gif is not working or in other words not moving as it should.
And when you hover on an image in the blog, the cursor becomes of a zoom option, When we click on this zoom, the gif works.
Why is this happening and what’s the solution?
Can we and can we not put moving gifs as the featured image of a blog?

The theme blocks cannot show gif’s as the main post image. Only inside the post can you see the gif animated. The theme created thumbnails from the featured image you add. A thumbnail from an animated gif is a static image. The blocks cannot render a gif directly.
