Not sure if this is a theme problem or a woocommerce and or jetpack problem. However I did have the same issue when I was using the newspaper theme too.
When I activate both woocommerce and Jetpack, I lose the widget panels on the widgets page in the dashboard. The widget panel is there if I use one of the plugins but not 2. Look at these images before With Widgets panel and then After activation without widgets panel
Is anyone else experiencing this problem? or more importantly does any one know how to fix this problem?

Usually this happens from both plugins adding some kind of code/hooks into the admin panel, which impact both. And possible loading conflicting jquery elements.
You may be able to fix by turning off the tagdiv speed booster — or adding the hooks for both plugins into the speed booster to add to the queue order for loading.
I have no issues with WooCommerce, but JetPack continues to be buggy and hit/miss unless using the most rudimentary WordPress themes, in my case. I have found I don’t use JetPack for anything, as there are better solutions for almost all of its tools, and they are terrible resource hog and load so much external crap it slows site down and hurts the PageSpeed score terribly. Just my opinion.

@flavourmag Are you sure that just using woocommerce together with jetpack causes this as I have also tested this and tried to recreate it but haven’t been able, with both plugin active the I don’t have any issues viewing the widgets areas in the widgets section. Also tested it with the speed booster plugin active and still don’t have this issues so please make sure that this isn’t caused by other plugins you have and leave active just VC then active Woocommerce then Jetpack and also empty cache, check your console and update the theme if you aren’t using the latest version (1.2).
If you still have issue after this you should also consider going trough each plugin’s settings as one of your settings could also generate this.
