Every time I preview a blog post I’m writing, the view counter updates. I want to know how to set this number back to 0 when I publish the post.

That screencast shows a custom field box at the bottom of the post settings. I don’t have that box. The last thing on my post settings is “Via Url”.
How do I reset the post view count before I publish?

In order to display those options you will have to go into your post, edit the post and on the left you will see those 3 dots. Click on them and go to Options. In Options you will be faced with a table like I have here and check the Custom Fields in Advance Panels. After that you will have acces to the panel you can see in the background of my photo too: https://www.screencast.com/t/x7TPIdkG
