Edit Recent Post template inside the Sidebar Widget

I’m using The “Recent Post” inside my Sidebar widget.

It’s possible to remove the Author and the the date from there? Also it’s possible to change the template so a Feature image of the post will be appear?

Hi,

The wordpress recent posts widget should display only the article title and date (if date is enabled) – http://prntscr.com/oh4lrl – http://prntscr.com/oh4lxw
So there should be no author there, and the date can be disabled in the widget settings. This widget can’t display the featured image of the post.

You could however use a theme block instead of that widget, and call it recent posts. Sort it by latest so that it shows the freshest posts – http://prntscr.com/oh4olg
