Unecessary Google api requests for fonts. (fonts.googleapis.com)

Hi, team tagDiv.

I have disable the Google fonts from the theme fonts settings. And I am using open sans for the title of my posts and a lot of the elements. Can’t name them all here.

Inspite of disabling the Google fonts, my website is sending requests to four identical request to google api (fonts.googleapis.com) for open sans. I mean four requests for the same font and that too from the source that’s disabled. It’s wasting the resources.

Hi,

If the fonts are disabled in the theme panel, then the theme won’t load any fonts. I made a test on my end, with fonts – http://prntscr.com/oitnit and without them
– http://prntscr.com/oito59
But font settings made in the composer can still load fonts. So for example a font setting set for the article title on a module – http://prntscr.com/oitx2v can still load fonts
– http://prntscr.com/oitxbx

Also some plugins can load and use fonts. You could begin to investigate what is using the font that is being loaded.
