Maybe a newbie question, but think I am missing some aspect of either wordpress or wordpress theme. Using Newspaper theme, and first LOVE! Goal: have the default feature image set larger then what appears to be the default Medium setting of wordpress.
Currently I import from our sister site and it imports the images from the article and sets the featured image, but it seems to always set the feature image to around Medium settings. When I view the article in my “newspaper” theme the post is larger so distorted. I end up going into the article and choosing the “original” which is larger.
I don’t know what/where setting wordpress/theme specifies the feature image size? I have spent eyes blinding time on the forum trying to answer this and I think perhaps the answer is more obvious or simpler then I see. If changing Media Settings for Medium to be larger does that change the default Feature image size? I don’t know the correlation to how Featured Image size is set? WordPress/Theme?? At a lose and thought I would ask wiser folks then I, or at least I hope so.
Background: I am a programmer so I understand tech speak.

Yes, RSS Aggregator, though the only settings that I have is the minimum image size to import, when it comes to images. If you think that might be the case I can contact them too?
