Yoast SEO Question

So, I have Yoast premium and the Newspaper theme.

I notice that Yoast will often report “No internal links on the page. Add Some.”

The thing is, I have Related Articles and Next/Previous turned on in the template. Yoast doesn’t seem to count those as internal links.

Is there some setting I have to change to get Yoast to see those or do they actually have to be in the body of every post?

Thanks!
Scott

PS: On a similar note, it doesn’t acknowledge links in the sidebar. I wanted to put my “cornerstone” content as a permanent link in the sidebar. But Yoast seems to want you to link to your cornerstone content in the body of each post.

Hi,

The links from the Related Articles and Next/Previous do not appear because these need to be inside the post content -> http://prntscr.com/pp1w7h to be count be Yoast SEO, since these are not set in the post content this will not be count as internal link.
Also I think the “cornerstone” need to be set in post content too, not in sidebar.

Thank you for your understanding!
