I found the follwoing instuction in the documentation – but none of the options work for me:
– there is no Drag here to DELETE” box on my editor screen
– on right click I can see the “delete” option in the menu, but that option is is light gray and not active

Delete elements
If you want to delete a row or element, you can grab it from the top left “Row” button.
Drag it to the bottom right of the screen in the “Drag here to DELETE” box, or select the row and press the delete button on your keyboard.
You can also use the right-click menu, where you have access to different commands including the delete option.

If this is not what you mean, please provide me some more details.
Please notice that you can not delete the empty column only the row that contain empty columns.
