Since quite some time I am trying to change the H1 tag of my website.
Changing the websites title and subtitle in WordPress Customizer does not help – the changes won’t appear on the website or in the SEO analysis of my SEO-tool (RankMath).
Talking with wordpress support staff, they told me to ask the theme’s support. They also told me there might be an error because of the theme overlaying the changes I could do in Customizer.

Sorry, but I do not see the problem, the H1 tag is set on “Titel der Website” on “iPad in der Schule und Tablet im Unterricht” and -> https://i.imgur.com/lwY5mEs.png
If I didn’t understand well then please provide some more details and a link to your website.

Thank you for the reply. But that is what I mean:
The H1 tag is set on “Titel der Website” – so there should be “iPad in der Schule und Tablet im Unterricht” set as H1 tag.
In fact, the H1 tag (also shown in your screenshot) is different: “Digitalisierung / iPad in der Schule”.
Or am I misunderstanding something?

Usually the h1 is set on logo, if you are using a cloud header, to can have different H1 per page/posts, also using the Page Builder + Page Title prom page template, this should set your page title as h1 and remove the h1 from logo.
If you want that your title to have the h1 set instead of logo, then please check if you are using a cloud header, if yes, then you can edit it with tagDiv Composer and disable the h1 -> http://prntscr.com/q1ohji.
Please provide me a link where I can inspect the h1 from your website, in this way I will be able to provide you a better answer.
