Hi,
I am setting up the website http://www.globalsurfsounds.com and it is my first crack at doing a website. I have posted a Smartlist and followed your documentation to do so, however there are still double images appearing. How do I fix this ? I am using a PC if that healps, not my iPad or MAC.

I have checked your site but I couldn’t find any smartlist with the issue you’ve described. Please let me know if you still have this smartlist issue and also paste here a link to a post containing this error as I have tested this and haven’t found any issues with this feature.

Thanks! I have inspected this issue and seems that some how the image is also pulled in the description and I can’t tell why as I have also tested this and haven’t had this issue.
My test:

First of all please makes sure that you use this feature right and follow this guide for that: https://forum.tagdiv.com/smart-list/
If you still have issue with it after that please make sure that this is not happening because other plugins you use and disable all of them leaving just the Visual Composer active, empty cache/ purge files if you use CDN and check again.
Please let me know if you manage to solve this or not.

Hi,
I havn’t heard back from emails so I wanted to try the forums to see if there are any solutions. Have tried the above method of disabling other plugins and left visual composer on etc.
Tried using the different sizes, different alignments, different link methods, disabled lightboxes etc.
Please let me know what is going on with the double images as I cannot seem to fix it by trying out different variations of settings etc.
I have a screenshot but it looks exactly like everyone elses screenshots and have posted the comment on Evanto.

So after just playing around and remembered that Jetpack has Photon CDN, I disabled this setting and there are no more double images.
How does this work and is there a fix for this?
Basically Photon just caches the images on the page, serves in and then the smart list also serves the images making it double.

Sorry for the delay, we don’t work on weekends!
The photon feature of jetpack plugin generates and serves a new, re-sized image based on “img element’s width and height attributes” besides the one theme smart list adds to the page.
The jetpack photon feature can cause issues and while the theme works based on the same system (creates and serves/uses thumbnails for each uploaded image we haven’t tested it with the theme so it would be best to disable it.

Please try this without any plugins active, leave only Visual Composer active, also empty cache and purge your files. Check if the issue is still there and if is not please activate your plugins one by one and check which one cause the issue.
Also like Lucian said above if the jetpack photon cause issues, we haven’t tested it with the theme so it would be best to disable it.
