– I was wondering why the Sign In / Join link only shows the Login ?

Here is a reply by Simion to a user who had similar query as you. Quoting Simion – If you would like to provide the user registration (membership) for your website, you can do so in the WordPress general settings – http://prntscr.com/o8v8qb then WordPress will allow visitors to create accounts – http://prntscr.com/o8v92k and the theme will display it as well – http://prntscr.com/o8v9h2
The theme login modal window will display the same information from the default WordPress login screen. It is basically the same screen and functionality but with some style added.
