I tried again to update to version 10 of Newspaper, followed the instructions indicated, remove theme and plugins, then upload updated theme and update the plugins. So far everything works fine.
Now, if I enable Default Pro, should I disable Standard Pack?
On several occasions I have activated Default Pro, but it deletes 4 categories (I am 20), and the content changes it to Uncategorized.

No, you do not deactivate the standard pack, this can be deactivate only if you do not longer have standard styles/templates and elements on your website.
