I found that my home couldnt be optimized with YOAST SEO, one of the suggested plug ins for yout theme. I wanna know how to make that the SEO on the home page could be optimized, since is one of the most important parts of the site.

Yoast Cant read the links, the alt on the images, the texts that shows the home, nothing, so basically, the home is ZERO SEO friendly. I hope is just the yoast, but if Yoast cant read it, i dont think other sistems can.

Indeed there were some problem in preview version of theme, in Newspaper 10.2 the Yoast SEO is working, please make sure that you have this version and check again (you can check it on localhost, is no need to make the update until you check the properties).

Hi, gets a little better, but it still not recognosing the text on the description and the previews of the blog posts that are shown on the home.

The page is look like that because it was build using tagDiv Composer, if you have soem text on page, make sure that it is set in a column text with tagDiv Composer, in this way this will be display in backend and you’ll be able to add SEO for that text.
Also please provide some more details and screenshots about the problems that you still have with Yoast SEO, also make sure first that the problems are not caused by some untested plugins.
