Hi TagDiv team,
I’m using a Post Loop block to display my 6 latest articles on my homepage.
I have got the pagination at the bottom. So far so good.
But How can I link my pagination buttons (page 2, page 3, etc ) to my list of posts?
Example of what I need : page2 = shorturl.at/dM136
On your Influencer template : page2 is identical to the home page : https://demo.tagdiv.com/newspaper_influencer/page/2/
Thanks in advance for your precious help 🙂

Hi Calin,
I do have more than 40 articles since I imported the entire Influencer theme, so it should be fine.
In fact, please find below what I would need to achieve:
Home page = Different blocks + 6 articles + pagination
Example : https://tinyurl.com/y8oadhs3
Page 2 = shorturl.at/dM136 Just the header + a certain number of post + pagination
Example : https://tinyurl.com/vc5a7wd
That is really important to me. Thanks in advance if you can help me to get a similar look.
Have a good day!
Cheers,
Hi,
You can achieve this using the tagDiv Composer, unfortunately the page 2, 3, 4…n can not be edited, these will display only pagination (posts).
Thank you!
Hi Calin,
I didn’t really get it, where can I edit the page2?
I didn’t find this info on your link.
What would be the best way to achieve what I need to do?
It is very useful for users to search articles through accross multiple pages.
Because basically, when you click on page 2, page 3, page 4 you expect to read more articles. It is quite bizarre to land on a page with the same design as the homepage, where you have to scroll down in order to see new articles.
Do you know what I mean? What would you think as a new user discovering a website and trying to find information?

Thank you very much Calin. I really appreciate your help

Hi,
Usually the page 2-3-4 appear when you are using a posts loop in your page and this can be edit using tagDiv Composer or page builder + latest articles + pagination from page template you can edit it from backend -> https://i.imgur.com/EbkSs9j.png , these element can use pagination -> https://i.imgur.com/RESuCD2.png in your case -> https://i.imgur.com/CGqnj5u.jpg
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
I really appreciate you take time to help your customers with appropriate solutions.
To make those changes : https://i.imgur.com/EbkSs9j.png Did you modify the home page called : Home – Front Page
or did you create a new page ?
Thanks Calin
All good, it seems like I needed to modify the Home Page to use the Template called :
Pagebuilder + latest Articles + pagination
It gives me exact what I wanted with the pagination and page 2, page 3, etc Great!
But so far I don’t really know how to customize the look of the “latest articles + pagination” block that I get now at the bottom of the page with this template.
I can’t modify the block with TD Composer.
Therefore, if I drop a Post Loop 2, I can customize it. But I would need to remove/hide the block coming from the template. Do you see what I mean?
Please let me know if it is not clear enough.
Kind regards

Hi,
The Pagebuilder + latest articles + pagination from page template is the same as the posts loop, if you want to can be able to use tagDiv Composer to edit it set the page template on default and use only the posts loop from tagDiv Composer.
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
Is it the same person behin Calin? :/ because the answer doesn’t make sense to me from what we discussed before.
Look, this is the website I am working on : https://tinyurl.com/trq99es
You told me to use the Pagebuilder + latest articles + pagination to get page 2, 3, 4 which contain : Header + articles only + footer.
It is great, unfortunately I can’t edit the design of the “Latest article” block to customize the colors, font, etc. There is no : Edit mode button. Is it normal?
If I switch back to Default and use Post Loop, my page 2, 3, 4, etc will look exactly the same as my home page and I will have to scroll down to view new articles from the post loop, which is not very user friendly for users.
Did you get the idea of what I want?
This is exactly what I need :
Home page : https://tinyurl.com/y8oadhs3
Page 2 : https://tinyurl.com/vc5a7wd
(only header + Articles + Footer)
I thought it would be an easy thing.
Thanks in advance for your support.

Hi,
So you want the page 2, to start in a new page with only the posts from page 2, this can be achieved only with the Pagebuilder + latest articles + pagination and the section of latest articles, but there are not some much settings for customization (only layout and filters -> https://i.imgur.com/pLkCy1g.png) the colors can be set only with custom css, some of colors will apply from theme panel -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/theme-colors-introduction/
Thank you!
You got it ! This is exactly what I need 🙂
That’s so sad I can’t customize it. Unfortunately, I can’t use it in its current state.
Is there any chance you give us the Edit mode accessible for that in the next release or so?
So many people would benefit from it. It is a must have for websites with a lot of articles.
Thanks a lot for your understanding.
Hi,
I just remember that there is an option in tagDiv Composer that need to be set on the rows to be hidden when you are using the posts loop pagination. So you need to set/enable on each row this option -> https://i.imgur.com/GOygsKx.png but just make sure that the posts loop element will be in a separate row that will not have this option enable, in this way you can control what you want to see on the page when you are using the pagination and you can customize the loop how you want using tagDiv Composer.
Sorry that I do not remember of this option until now.
Hope this will help you!
Thank you!
THANK YOU !!
You found the right option. Thanks for your dedication. Your support team is great!
This is how look my prototype so far : https://tinyurl.com/trq99es well done
In a perfect world, I would like to display 6 Posts (from Post Lop) on the Home Page and 12 Posts on page 2, 12 Post on page 3, etc.
Is it possible?
If yes, how can I achieve that?
Is there any custom CSS to do that?
Thank you very much.
That’s would be really great to have that in the future.
But otherwise, I thought about something that could help me.
Is it possible to : ?
– Display on my home page : 6 Articles in my Post Loop (done)
– Then add a “Load more” button or an “Infinite Loading” to display 6 more Articles
– Once 12 articles are visible on my home page, I click on pagination button 2 and go to page 2 with 12 articles visible.
Could you help me with that?
Thanks a lot!
You can achieve this by using TagDiv composer. I did same on my site.
So here is what you have to do:
First create a Blog page to show your latest posts.
Than edit your homepage with tagdiv composer. In post loop section remove pagination and below the post loop add a button with link to your blog page. You can visit my site for an example.
Also you can customise your blog page in theme panel as you want.
That’s very interesting, thanks for sharing that! I really appreciate your help.
Ideally, I would like to keep the pagination below my articles on the homepage, so people can directly click on page 4 for example.
Instead of one click on Load More and 1 click on Page 4 in the blog section. It is just a user experience thing.
Let’s see what tagDiv support can do for me 🙂
My pleasure…
Than you can try adding multiple buttons in pagination style and add links to your blog pages 2, 3 and 4.
For example add button like 2, 3, 4, > and than add link to these buttons like http://www.example.com/blog/page2 to button 2 and repeat like this on button 3 and 4.
This is nice idea and i will try to implement it too on my site.
Hopefully my 2 last questions :
1– Post loop pagination on my home page redirects me to : http://www.mysite.com/page/2/
My current blog page as the following structure : http://www.mysite.com/blog/page/2/
If I manage to remove /blog from my WordPress URL. Would my post loop pagination be able to redirect to my blog page http://www.mysite.com/page/2/ ? or a conflict will happen?
What are your thoughts?
2- If the first idea is not possible.
Could anyone of you teach me how to add multiple buttons next to each others in order to replicate the same look as pagination (normal numbered)?
This is where I am so far (not very far actually)
https://imgur.com/nvH4kP7
PS : To simplify some people workflow, that would be so great to have (in the future) a “pagination” block that would allow us to link pagination buttons to a page like “blog”.
That will allow me to :
1- Display on my home page : a Post Loop with 6 articles + no pagination
2- A pagination block below linked to my blog page
3- If I click on 2, 3, etc it will redirect me to : http://www.mysite.com/blog/page/2/ , http://www.mysite.com/blog/page/3/, etc
Thank you in advance for any help. Your support is amazing. Thanks again.
