Hi, in my cloud template I use element Subcategories (list of subcategories) predefined in TagDiv Composer.
When I switch on option “Show image: Show”, it is not working. Only general “missing image” is shown (td-cloud-library/assets/images/medium_large.png) instead correct Category image even if there is set up image in WP Category edit page. Category title and description are shown correctly.

Please make sure that you have subcategories in that category where you have set the category templates with the Subcategories element also make sure that you have assigned to these categories some images in theme panel> https://i.imgur.com/ZnzG1wn.png -> https://i.imgur.com/rDMwQ0M.png by setting the images in theme panel the problem should be solved.

Thanks for answer! The solution you suggested on one hand works and background-image is shown on subcategories element. But on the other hand it simultaneously the same background image really set for whole subcategory page (e.g. New Look 2015) and overrides general background image of my web 🙁 Is there the way how to just have subcategories element with images but not as real background of subcategory page? I thought as well as you are taking title and description from WP category settings, it is possible use category image…

Unfortunately in this way is working the background category, the posts from that category will inherit the category settings.
Also the Subcategories element display the image only if you have set a background image on that category.

OK, I see, a pity… Please consider in future upgrades whether it would be better to simply use the standard WP Category images…
BTW there is one small bug yet – if you choose let’s say 4 column/subcategories as is on your example, there will be 25 % width in style. But it isn‘t responsive, on mobile there are still 4x 25 % columns and it looks ugly, I have to change it for mobile version to 100 % with in custom style.

Right now you can set the category featured image in theme panel -> https://i.imgur.com/cM6Ylar.png and if you are using a cloud template, you can set a background featured category -> https://i.imgur.com/9J9gytD.png
But if you want to display the categories as the posts in blocks, then let us know one example and I will add it on our list.

I’d also like to add to this.
I would like to add an image to some sub-categories to use is the subcategories block. However, it automatically adds that image to the background of that sub-categories page.
So to clarify I’ll add some screenshots: https://imgur.com/a/jQvjPN2. I want the images like they are shown on the first screenshot. But I don’t want the background image shown on the second screenshot.
Is there a way to achieve that?

For some reason td composer subcategries images are not working right.It only shows one image for all the sub categories listed. The image that is shown is the image of the main category.
In Admin > Newspaper > Theme panel > categories
Each category and subcategory has its own background image
In TagDiv Composer
For the main category I got the cloud template: Category Template 33 – Parent – Podcasts.
the Subcategories item (element) is part of the template.
It is working as it should, except for the image.
It shows all subcategories names and descriptions correct, but only the image of the main category is showing for all subcategories.
When the image of the main category is remove in Theme panel > categories
no image is showing.
How can this be fixed?
