Add post styles to Custom Post Types

Hello,

I am looking to edit the theme so the post styles menu is shown in custom post types.

Where would I edit to add this function?

Okay, reading over that thread, it seems the only way to do it is choose what layout you want that section to have and make a single file for it. Is there no way to just have the custom post type act as a regular post as such it includes the ability to have the same selections as a normal post type 1-8 etc.

Please let me know, you guys have been fantastic at helping so far, I would personally much prefer to use it as default, but do to the reviews system we use, it is stuck in a custom post type. Any help would be amazing!
