I know that there are some older threads with the question, if custom post types like the episodes of the podcast-plugin Podlove can be added and shown as related articles under a post or inside the more article box. Maybe due to the architectural changes of the Newspaper theme this might be possible now by editing some files?

In latest update , Newspaper 10.3.1 we added a better support for Custom Post Types (CTP) on the content blocks, but the blocks you want to edit do not have this option.
Unfortunately for the moment the CPT can be set in related articles and more article box only with custom work, and this is not covered by the theme support.
