We are using the “footer page” option for our footer. Now, we have discovered that our Footer page can show up in search results depending on what people search for. Any advice on how to suppress this?

Hi,
This problem can be solved by using a cloud footer from tagDiv Cloud Library, this can be edited like a page with tagDiv Composer then you can remove/delete the footer page.

How will this stop the footer page from showing up on the search results page when the search string matches content on the page?

If you have last version of Newspaper theme, v10.3.1 and you are using a footer template instead of a page template, then you can remove the page/delete it and this will no longer appear on search results, also the template will not be display in results.
