Hi,
few months ago I was wondering how to make my site faster. There wasn’t yet Newspaper X . Now you deliver super fast solution based on Cloud Template and deactivating Standard Pack plugin.
In my case I have about 30 pages in my website built on TD Composer. I need to consider if its worth to make a change (turn to cloud template, how much time does it cost)
Is there any step by step manual how to make a change? I’ve read your articles but its quite general. Maybe you have something more particular? To be honest I have no ideo how to build normal page from Cloud Templates witch would fits to my existing themplate.
For egzample: if I want to add new page called “our team” I have only option to import from cloud existing template or blocks, but what with my existing header and footer? New pages from cloud will look different than rest of my site. I’m not sure if you know what I mean…
Regards
JM
Hello !
Unfortunately having a tutorial for this is pretty challenging for us to since this will be different for each user.
The best way, that I personally recommend and may be a bit harder but it will deliver the best result would be to: Deactivate standard pack and then re-build your pages. With standard pack disabled you will see a lot of shortcodes, all those shortcodes must be replaced. For example if you disable standard pack and you have 1 block 4 let’s say on your homepage. You will have to change it to flex blocks.
By disabling the standard pack you should not be worried by the shortcodes rendered. you will have to switch them to the new elements in tagDiv Composer.
I hope this was helpful !
Thank you !
Thanks. But how to achieve the same look to my page without standard pack? When I was building my website, I choose one of predefined templates which is not available in cloud templates. I understood that classic block should be replaced by flex blocks, but they look totally diferent. I switched for moment my site to work without standard pack and it is not only about shortcodes, my header and footer were colapsed on every single url on my site

Hello !
For that you will have to start shaping your website using tagDiv Composer. Flex blocks are way more editable now: https://www.screencast.com/t/NxpOrdlPmg They can be customized to any form and shape sort to speak.
This task will require for you to start customizing a bit more and get more familiar with tagDiv Composer. But this will just help you in the long run.
Thank you !
