We are using the Newspaper Theme Panel for non-Google Ads advertising spots and whenever a change is made (e.g. removing or changing an image link within the HTML), and when we click ‘Save Settings’, it shows the loading animation, but never updates the site with the changes. It (the ‘saving’ animation) has run for hours without updating anything. We are running the latest version of the WP theme.

Make sure that you are using the last version, Newspaper v10.3.2 and WordPress v5.4
Usually this issue is related to a firewall or security module which blocks admin-ajax.php request. Please verify the console for error while saving the settings on the Theme Panel, usually it displays a 403 or 404 error.
If you don’t use a security plugin, please ask your host about this, maybe you have a security module which blocks this.
If you use a plugin like Wordfence please set it in learning mode.
If you are not using non of them, please make sure that you do not have a plugin conflict, please deactivate ALL non theme plugins except tagDiv plugins, also if you are using child theme or cache plugin, deactivate them, clear all cache and try again.
