We do not want our site to show what theme & plugins we are using. With the previous free theme we were using, theme detectors were unable to detect any theme or plugins. Same with our other sites. But now, it is showing a Newspaper theme and all plugins in the detectors available online. We are also getting many IPs list trying to attack theme files and folders. So we REALLY NEED to hide the name. PLEASE HELP. If we found a solution, then there will be no worries about the theme.

Please note that there is no option for this in our theme or WordPress, maybe it can be done with some plugins or with custom work.

As per those answers, can we edit theme names, etc from Cpanel files? There will be no problems or in updates?
