Post's main image: thumb on frontpage when is not featured

When post’s image is portrait (wider than high) everything is perfect, but when post’s image is vertical (taller than wide) I need the image to be left aligned and not filling the whole content body width.
So I can’t save those images as Featured, but I need its thumbs for the frontpage.
I’m using Post Template Style 2 through the site.

Example:

Here is a post with vertical image.

On the frontpage of the site, Block 2 “Noticias” seems a blank image instead of the article’s image thumb (article’s image is not Featured).

You know, the theme is creating the image’s thumbs anyway, so IS THERE A WAY TO USE THE NOT-FEATURED-IMAGE-THUMBS ON FRONTPAGE (BLOCKS)?

Regards,
Fz

I’m sorry, here is the correct link of a post with “vertical” image.

The theme uses the built-in functions of WordPress to get thumbs on front page, which are pulled from the “featured image.”

In theory you could create a custom field, then hack the block/module for home page to use the field in place of the featured image, but this would mean you would *always* have to do that, which might be annoying.

I’m sure tech support may have a better answer, but there is no simple way to do that.

hi,

Thanks Chris!

@felizubi
You can set and use the post template 7 for those posts: http://screencast.com/t/6P18EXIMNP you will get the featured image on block/modules but not on post page.
ex:
config: http://screencast.com/t/khPUNY1L9KD
result: http://screencast.com/t/Lrd7QHxA
post page: http://screencast.com/t/zQIbCF5kMVD

Thanks
