rename custom footer template

hello,

i have created a custom footer. it is named “blank – footer”. how do i rename this footer that i have chosen as my global footer? also, is there a way to make a duplicate so that i can tweak rather than create it again ? i don’t see these options in either manager or theme panel footer sections.
