Unique Articles setting on home page also affecting latest posts and most popula

Hi,

I’m using the Unique Articles option on the home page of a newspaper site so I can have a “Featured” section at the top of the page which will contain the lead stories from a variety of categories (news, sport, farming, etc) – the featured stories will vary by section as what is happening in the news will dictate what the “featured” articles are.

This works great as I can then have a news section, sport section, farming section, etc on the same page and it will automatically skip any story that appears in “featured”.

However, there is an issue as enabling Unique Articles on the page automatically removes duplicate stories from the “most popular” and from “latest” which doesn’t really make any sense – ok from a “technical” point of view I suppose it does but in real life you would want the “latest” to show the latest articles – even if some of these were duplicated on the page.

Is there any way to stop “latest Articles” and “Most Popular” from being affected by the Unique Articles option?

Thanks

Stuart

Hello !

Unfortunately at the moment there is no workaround this option.

Thank you for your understanding !
