Calin, help me with the Social counter setup. I want to set up a social counter in the footer with only Facebook, Insta, Twitter, and YouTube links. My Insta and Youtube links are not working. Also, I don’t want to show numbers.
Also, does this counter send any ajax requests?

Hi Nagarig,

As I know the Instagram is no longer working correctly -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/instagram-legacy-api-permission-basic-permission-was-disabled-on-june-29/
For YouTube you must have the api set in theme panel to work -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/youtube-api-key/
Also if you do not want to display the number of fans/followers you need to use a custom css, this is the only way to remove it the numbers from social.
If there is something that you can not handle, jet me know and I will help you with some more details.

You should make simple code like this plugin use: https://wordpress.org/plugins/social-media-buttons-toolbar/

Very simple to use and implement. No ajax requests, nothing heavy. Simple Follow Buttons!

Hi Nagarig,

Only using api’s you can collect these information for social accounts and display theme in social counter.
Also the above suggestion that you made is for sharing social media not for social counter, these are two different elements.

No no. I am also talking about Follow Social Media Buttons, not sharing buttons. Check out the footer of site. I have added buttons from that plugin. Its lightweight, simple, no extra code.

I think that you were referring to these social -> https://i.imgur.com/iuktdrn.png for this our theme is using a simple implementation -> https://i.imgur.com/MhjM10E.png only the code for social counter -> https://i.imgur.com/x12zHds.jpg is using api.

Ok.. But I tried to add widget with simple boxes in footer with your plugin. But it showing follower numbers. There is any way to hide it? Also, for youtube, it asks for API i think?

Hi,

If you want to use social networks you need to use this element from tagDiv Composer -> https://i.imgur.com/8sx33NA.jpg -> https://i.imgur.com/feBBlSb.png just make sure that you set the full path with (example https://www.social.com/).
