I still haven’t activated the theme because I’m skeptical about the URL of our staging site. It’s quite different from our live site. Our staging site at the moment olderpets.petscripts.com.au (subject to change in the future but will still have olderpets in it, e.g. dev.olderpets.org.au) our live site olderpets.org.au (we just bought the domain)

There is no problem, you can activate the theme if is just a staging for tests.
