Hi,
I moved to a dedicated server and now my website is not working properly.
Infinite scroll is not working
“Always snap – stays at the top of the page” – not working
Arrows in the main page are not working
See for yourself http://www.viraldump.com
How can I solve this?
If it was working before the move, it’s not a theme problem.
Best bet is to remove all caching plugins, or disable them after clearing them.
Perhaps reinstall clean version of WordPress, Visual Composer, and the theme ?
Did you resave your settings? Often moving to new system, you have to go back into a theme panel and “touch” the settings to again save to the dbase (stupid I know…).
That’s about my only suggestion. We moved all our sites to new server a year ago, and had some similar issues because some sites we used the server migration tool (best way to do it), and some we did by hand.
I switched back to the old hosting and I could see it’s not working there as well.
I remember it worked fine but suddenly it stopped working. I have no idea why.
I tried to disable the plugins and disable cloudflare, it’s not caching issue.
All ajax functions stopped working.
Well, if it “suddenly” stopped working, then something updated or changed to cause that. The theme cannot “magically” change unless you change it. Or, if your host updated something; or if you updated a bad plugin that broke something (or if you have auto updates “on” which is NOT recommended).
So, a “clean” install is best way to go. Save/export your theme settings, then do clean install with current files.
By the way,
Of course that clean install will probably solve this issue.
But this not a solution. It can’t be that every time that something is malfunctioning on my site I will have to make a clean install.
This is not a professional answer I expected to receive, I am sorry to say…
Well, I don’t work here, so frankly, I’m sorry to say you’re lucky I bothered to help at all. So, guess I’ll bow out. Good luck with that.
Obviously if something broke on the install, migration, content won’t work properly.
But go ahead and either try clean install to fix the problems which “suddenly” appeared with WordPress, the theme and possible bad plugins, or broken cache settings, etc.
