I’m having a problem with featured youtube videos. It seems that my host, Media Temple Premium WordPress, has a problem with anything that tries to automatically add images. Thus, when I try to save a post with a featured youtube video I just get an error that says the server is pissed off or something.
At any rate, I don’t particularly need that functionality itself anyway. Is there a way to modify the theme, without it being too crazy, so that I can just use the featured videos in all other ways, but I can just put a regular featured image?
Hi,
Try to remove this function: http://screencast.com/t/BEYEgsgEh6 just the YouTube case or for all cases then try this again.
Thanks
Well, so now I have a related problem.
The first few times I looked at a post that had the featured video it looked like the youtube video would pop up real quick in a size that wasn’t right, but then it would adjust and be the right size depending on layout 2 3 or 8.
Now they won’t adjust, and just sit there in the weird size.
I don’t think I’ve really changed anything though, so I can’t figure why it worked before and doesn’t now.
Here’s an example.

Hi,
Please make sure that you use the latest theme update(4.5) and you update Visual Composer plugin that comes with the theme files.
Please deactivate all plugins, leave only Visual Composer plugin active, also empty cache and purge files if you use CDN host service and see if the issue is still there.
I also tested this with the latest theme update and found no issues: http://screencast.com/t/zsdM50Thjv
Thanks!
Ok. I seem to have found the problem, but it still seems weird, because it was there the whole time.
Maybe what the thing is doing changed on the far end or something. I have no idea.
Anyway, I am using the plugin Insert Headers and Footers to include something things. They all seem to work fine, except if I include this
<script src=”http://Q1MediaHydraPlatform.com/ads/video/unit_desktop_slider.php?eid=14041″></script>
It’s for a video ad that shows up in the bottom corner of the site, much like the More Articles Box (which I do not have turned on).
If I take out that script the featured video youtube adjusts itself just fine.
Is there a way to include this that won’t mess things up?
Thanks for all the help by the way.
