Hi! I am using WPML translation plugin and I set a footer on the theme panel to use the one I created on Pages. However, after duplicating the footer, I am unable to assign the footer according to the languages.

I think that the problem is when you translate the footer template in the new language, this doesn’t has the type -> https://i.imgur.com/qWobB9z.png -> https://i.imgur.com/oIbn1et.png what you can do is to import in the second language a blank footer template and copy manually the content from the one that is translated in the blank one.

From Newspaper v10.3.3 was add a better support for WPML plugin -> https://i.imgur.com/vAjt3aG.png now you can set the header, footer, category and single template on each language in them panel, for this you need to use the translate for cloud templates -> https://i.imgur.com/Y99kgbB.png in this way on each language you’ll have only the templates made for that language, for example https://i.imgur.com/UJbzFFp.png -> https://i.imgur.com/TWZLxQZ.png -> https://i.imgur.com/CjsSkAC.png
You can duplicate a cloud template like this -> https://i.imgur.com/BLYyLc4.png after that you can edit it with tagDiv Composer.
In your case you need to do the same for 404 cloud template.
The second method is the classic one using the strings translate, this is more harder -> you need to use the this option -> https://i.imgur.com/59kl17v.png in order to use the string translate, for example for the header -> https://prnt.sc/rumozl and in WPML String -> https://prnt.sc/rumqn5 then you need to set the id of the header you want to be set for that language -> https://i.imgur.com/ghCu54I.png -> https://i.imgur.com/UAgVTC6.png -> https://prnt.sc/rumrbd

The footer cloud template can be edited, but it must be set on a page or cloud template in order to be able to edit it, this was the way made by our developers, normal we all think that it should work as a normal template, but is look that the footer template has some elements that can be edited only when it is assigned on a page or cloud. As I said above the footer template is a little different, you can edit it only from frontend, only if is assigned on some pages/cloud templates -> https://i.imgur.com/NwY790n.png -> https://i.imgur.com/gnJmstD.jpg (this cloud templated can not be edited from WordPress only from frontend if is assigned).

I have another issue, regarding the Post Settings in Theme Panel.
I created a template called “Single Cloud Template – EN” and I have duplicate it to the different languages that I have for my website.
– Single Cloud Template – MS
– Single Cloud Template – VI
– Single Cloud Template – ZH
In the theme panel, post setting of MS & VI language, I am able to see the template in Post Settings: https://snipboard.io/GtDE9T.jpg

Hi, make sure that the single post template for ZH has set the type -> https://i.imgur.com/GZ0JdBQ.png if this is missing, then is not recognize by WPML plugin and you need to use a blank template where to set the code from that single post template (or you can try to duplicate again the single post template).
