Some major visual malfunction after update

Following the update yesterday, my website (http://egzostive.com) seems to have gradually lost its sidebar and now looks totally messed up. First only at the posts, but as I tried to find the solution in the settings to show to sidebar, now even at the front page. It now looks totally ill formatted.

In the Tagdiv editor, I recieve the following message, when editing the main page:
“Error at zones: 6(models) : 5(dom). The model does not match the content Current state has involved an issue. You could try an UNDO operation (CTRL+Z / CTRL+SHIFT+Z)”
As I did nothing yet in the editor, there is nothing to undo however.

Generally speaking, the update went pretty bad, as I had to re-register the licence, and manually reastablish much of the setting too.

Hi

I sent that email this afternoon.

Unless you are able to do stg about it soon, I will ask my host to restore a backup, and then perhaps we can see what went wrong the last time with the backup.

Since there was no news, I request a roll back to the latest backup.
We spend quite some time with Bluehost on checking the theme.
They are now working on bringing back the backup.

As the backup means loss of some articles/edits, if you can make it work, that would be the ideal solution. I think the backup should be ready by tomorrow morning.

Restore complete, I would ask you to wait until Saturday with any updates or editing, as the backups are done every Friday.

Again the same thing.
Update and the page is a mess.
1. The header is now wrong, (the header image voers everthings, the dimension is set too thin, plus when I tried to import a header (default pro) the editor gives content error messages).

2. Since the update, the posts do not feature the sidebar.

I also wrote an email with screenshots.
It would be good if you could address the problem this time, so that I do not need to restore from backup, and lose days of work.

Dear Vlad,

That is why I asked per email whether you are able to sort it out.

The things got messed up since the update (missing sidebar and badly formatted header at Posts, missing Header and Menu for the Main page), that are still not resolved.

I wanted to give a fair chance, but right now, I am actually sorry that I did not go for the restore option.

I ran into this problem both last semester and this semester and in both
cases the problem was not resolved by the Tagdiv.

My only insurance is to update only after backup.

So far the catastrophic fallout is remedied, but the above issues are not yet.

Is there any timeframe I can expect a solution, or should I instruct Bluehost to restore again to the state before Saturday?

Looking forward to your reply.

Hi zoldfulu, If you have this problem with each update, please try to update the theme manually, this way is the best, but you must do some more clicks.
If you have the possibility to set back a backup, do it, also you can try the manual update on staging, sub-domain or localhost and see if the problem persists.

Hope this will help!

Well, not EVERY backup, just some, the last one that failed so miserably was in October.

An Automatic update should not lead to such things.

So far we figured out with your colleague, Simoin that the updated emptied the header, which I managed to bring back following his instructions.

What remains to be done is to bring back the sidebar at Posts. But if that is not feasible, I will restore.

I am also a bit bothered by the loss of traffic, which had obvious reasons when the front page was messed up. But even now, it is lower than it should be. But this might be due to seasonal traffic patterns.

All in all, let me know if your colleagues can bring back the sidebar for the posts, otehrwise I will restore the backup, and lose some days of work.
