What is this archive?

https://mydomain.com/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/images/icons/mobile-theme.woff

This route reduces the load on my website by more than 1.3 seconds.

What is it? Is it essential? How can I add “<link rel=preload” to this route?

Thanks, Jose

PD. I see the “PAGE SPEED OPTIMIZATION” here: https://tagdiv.com/premium-customization-services/

Can you tell me if this guarantees a score over 90, on mobile, on google page speed?

Because the things that are indicated, I already have them done (with the exception of the cdn).
And I need for Google page speed, not for gtmetrix really.

Hi,
Those are icons and fonts that our theme is using.
What you can do to get better speed for newspaper.woff is to use for icons
rel="preload"
also you can use an woof editor. Here is a topic where Amit provided some more details about how you can do this -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/topic/score-100100-pagespeed-with-newspaper-wordpress-theme/page/4/ (page 4 and 5).
Also about this https://tagdiv.com/premium-customization-services/ I do not know exactly what are the steps and what need to be done, therefore I can not say that it will provide or not a score over 900, what you can do is to submit a request there and a developer that is responsible with pages speed on custom work will answer to your question.
Hope this will help you!
Thank you for your understanding!

Thanks a loty @Calin,

I am trying these things out, but they seem to have no effect on my website. Maybe I’m doing it wrong (most likely I’m doing it wrong, actually).

How can I add rel=preload for this problem, in the funcions.php file? I’m reviewing Amit’s publications, I think they are very interesting, but for some reason they don’t work on my website.

I do it:

Removing Font Awesome
Removing Emojis
Removing other scripts
Mobile theme optimization

from de guide: https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/

But I have the problem again, in may website soyungato.com (I never try the homepage, I only try articles/posts)

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I followed all the steps, but they don’t work.

Can you please help me?

Hi,
Did you set the code in theme’s functions.php as in Amit examples?
In that thread Amit explains for more users how and where to set that code to make the theme faster.
Let me know what and where you set, some screenshots will help a lot.
Thank you!

Hi,
Please try like this
// Preload Newspaper fonts for responsive theme (main theme)
function dns_prefetch_responsive()
{
echo '<link rel="preload" href="https://hastysurf.com/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/images/icons/newspaper.woff?19" as="font">';
echo '<link rel="preload" href="https://hastysurf.com/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/assets/fonts/td-multipurpose/td-multipurpose.ttf" as="font">';
}
add_action( 'wp_head', 'dns_prefetch_responsive', 0 );

Hope this code to work.
Also if you are using a child theme, then the code need to be set in the child theme functions.php
Let me know the results!

Hello @Calin,

Thanks for help me 🙂

Ok, I put this code in functios.php theme and mobile. And I add this extra code becouse Google Page Speed say me. The final code is:

// Preload Newspaper fonts for responsive theme (main theme)
function dns_prefetch_responsive()
{
echo '<link rel="preload" href="https://soyungato.com/wp-content/themes/Newspaper/images/icons/newspaper.woff?19" as="font">';
echo '<link rel="preload" href="https://soyungato.com/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/assets/fonts/td-multipurpose/td-multipurpose.ttf" as="font">';
echo '<link rel="preload" href="https://soyungato.com/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/images/icons/mobile-theme.woff" as="font">';
}
add_action( 'wp_head', 'dns_prefetch_responsive', 0 );

But now, Google Page Speed say:

Warnings: A preload ‘link’ element has been found for “https://soyungato.com/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/images/icons/mobile-theme.woff&#8221;, but the browser has not used it. Check that the crossorigin attribute is being used correctly.

I dont know how to fix it. Any idea?

Thanks

Hi Jose,
Is possible that the problem the be from the code that you have set in mobile functions and theme functions. For example this code echo ‘<link rel=”preload” href=”https://soyungato.com/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/mobile/images/icons/mobile-theme.woff&#8221; as=”font”>’; should be set only in mobile functions.php is no need for it in theme functions.
Please check this and hope it will help you!

Good morning Calin,

Yes, I actually had that code in the wrong place. I have already eliminated it:

But, the problem remains the same:

https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fsoyungato.com%2Fcomo-mudarse-con-un-gato%2F

https://developers.google.com/speed/pagespeed/insights/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fsoyungato.com%2Fsida-en-gatos-inmunodeficiencia-felina%2F

All posts have the same problem.

Is it a good idea to forget functions.php and use htaccess?

Hi,
You can git it a try.
Normal if you done all like in this guide https://www.infophilic.com/get-almost-100-pagespeed-newspaper-theme/ there should be some good results.
Thank you!
